Baseball continues for players ages 13 to 18!
posted 01/08/2012

While the Majors division is the pinnacle for Little Leagues through age 12, the Little League organization has upper level play that can provide competitive programs through baseball age 18!

Juniors - for players ages 13 and 14 - play on the 80' or 90' diamond and there are 2 levels - House and Gold.  House has about 22 games, and Gold has about 36.  An All Star season commences in late June.

Seniors - for players ages 15 and 16 - there are 2 seasons for Seniors - the Premiere season - which is March to late May, and then the Regular season for players that might be doing H.S. ball or other spring sports.  This mini-season is late May to late June just before All stars starts in late June.

Big League - for players ages 17 and 18 - there is a Pleasanton team - please register in your "home" league (where your residence is boundaried) and then you will go on to represent Pleasanton against other District teams.  The Manager contact this year is Richard Mankins, you can contact him for more info at: .  The Big League teams have been very competitive in the past and we look forward to forming a team.

Parents and Coaches Training
by posted 01/01/2012

Hello parents,

PNLL pays for any parents and coaches to attend a 4 hour session on baseball skill development each year.  The clinic, known as BIG AL, comes to the Bay area the first Saturday of February each year.  The league has already purchased spots for parents and coaches of this age group to attend the afternoon session, designed specifically for the AA and up level player skill sets.  This clinic will bring parents and coaches from the District 57 area - Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon, Danville and Alamo.

Your child will grow in their skills if they can practice with a parent at home - what a great way to learn more about the sport and skills needed that your son is participating in - we encourage any parent, grandparent or someone interested in coaching this year to attend - its free for you!

BIG AL Training Clinic
Saturday, Feb. 4th
8:00am-12:00pm (T-Ball, Farm and Single A)
12:30pm-4:30pm (AA, AAA and Majors)

Bigl Al Clinic 2012.pdf

** New this year, as an add on to this, Dougherty Valley Varsity Baseball program will be hosting a camp for players (ages 5-12 - they will be broken up by age group).  This is their first year doing this camp. There is a fee of $50 for this camp which will last 4 hours.  Time for this camp is 8:30 to 12:30, so a bit difficult to coincide with you attending the Big Al Session, but wanted to make you aware of this training opportunity.
You will find all the information about the Big Al Clinic for parents and coaches, along with the DVHS Baseball camp registration, on the attached 2 flyers.  This information will also be posted on our website.  Please contact Brian Frietas with any questions about the camp - his contact info is on the flyer.
Go PNLL!

Updated Boundary Map for 2012
posted 10/01/2011

Please check the PNLL map for a slight adjustment.  Neigborhoods north of the canal off Santa Rita and West Las Positas are now boundaried into Pleasanton American www.pleasantonamerican.com.    The other neighborhood, southeast of Bernal, off Independence, is now boundaried into Pleasanton Foothill www.pfllonline.org.

If you played in the 2011 PNLL season, and wish to stay in PNLL, you must get in touch with our Registrar who will fill out a Little League Baseball IId waiver to stay in the league.  Current proof of residency in the league boundaries will be required.

Should your son prefer to move over to American or Foothill, you can, and just go to their websites for registration.
